I was part of a small, start-up-like creative agency within a larger consulting firm, supporting the creative needs of 27 global offices. Working in collaboration with a team of experts, I helped to craft integrated sales pitches that addressed a range of issues including sustainability, DEI, shareholder activism, and IPOs.

One of my primary responsibilities involved collaborating with a diverse team of experts to create comprehensive sales pitches. These pitches weren't just about selling products or services; they addressed complex, contemporary issues such as sustainability, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), shareholder activism, and initial public offerings (IPOs).


This experience honed my ability to distill complex concepts into compelling narratives, work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and deliver creative solutions that met the varied needs of a global client base.

BRAND PARTNERSHIPS DIRETOR

ESSENCE Ventures

Brooklyn, NY

In my role at ESSENCE Ventures, I managed $10M in annual sales across major clients like L'Oréal USA and JPMorgan Chase. I quickly generated $650K in new business within six months and established partnerships with Aflac, Eos, and 4U by Tia.

 

A key achievement was activating four partners at the ESSENCE Festival of Culture, including coordinating eight L'Oréal brands.

 

This involved negotiating deals, developing concepts, managing talent, and overseeing production. I also handled account management, from vendor setup to invoice approvals, and led targeted media campaigns to meet brand awareness and conversion goals.

These diverse experiences cultivated a profound understanding of global cultures, political dynamics, economic trends, and international business practices. This background has proven invaluable in my professional life, enabling me to communicate effectively with clients worldwide, navigate complex international markets, and anticipate challenges arising from geopolitical factors.
